no big deal. it's just a gui and doesn't look like anything that couldn't be accomplished with a skin on current browsers.

the only thing that counts is what's under the hood.

I am only interested if it has GPU acceleration. In short if it advances anything in browser field. A gui like the others doesn't cut it.

So you haven't read anything on IE9 (or apparently clicked the first link)? It has gpu acceleration as well as a bunch of other cutting edge features. Check out the IE Blog for more.

I quite like the new interface. It's consistently glassy, unlike IE7/8's non-transparent tab bar, and has a clean, minimalist look. Hopefully the exit/minimize/maximize buttons are pushed down to the address/tab bar when the window is maximized, like in Chrome.

However, the reduced area for tabs is gonna really annoy users who open up lots of tabs at once. A better idea might be to move the address/search bar out of the toolbar and down into the new tab page. Double-clicking on an open tab could change the title of the tab into an address bar, for when you want to type in the address bar of a tab that's already open.

I hope someone decides to make a Firefox theme based on IE9's interface =)

It looks a lot better. But at the same time, I need to see how the browser feels. IE8 has such a put-offish clicky feel to it.
