    IE Download Problem

    i been using IE 7 for most of the time but i have noticed that it freezes whenever i download a file from the net. it download just stops

    is there a fix?

    try downloading with a download manager like free download manager. you can get that at www.freedownloadmanager.org
    check if your getting the same issue.
    if yes, scan for spaywares using ad aware 2007.
    still nogo, try disabling all IE add ons.
    try different browser.

    Two questions: (1) are you running Vista as your OS, and (2) do you have some sort of audio or video file running at the same time? Apparently, there's a kludge in Vista that causes network transfer speeds to drop precipitously whenever there is some sort of media being played.     even the little sound effects MS incorporates into all of its OSs can cause network transfer speeds to drop.

    i agree with this. but some people just dont wanna switch.
    but yes. i would go for firefox if i was you.
    in fact i use both opera and firefox.
    i only use IE on trusted wesites that dont work propperly with mozilla or opera.

    If a site will not work with Firefox, I just don't go there.
