Whenever I sign in to my hotmail account, MSN Messenger is automatically launched. And whenever I open a new tab a screen with some options appears.

How do I disable those things? I googled and looked a bit in options but I cant find how to do it.

    thanks

Could you screenshot the options and post them here?

I think unless you encountered it yourself its difficult to imagine what they are/look like.

It doesn't sound quite right though....

The Messenger thing irks me too. I believe it's the Windows Live extensions that either run all the time or run when Hotmail is brought up. Try disabling the Windows Live Sign-in Helper (which runs all the time) and the Windows Live extension (which seems to only run at certain times, such as when Hotmail is loaded).

As far as the tabs, In Internet Options->Tabbed Browser settings is an option for what to open with a new tab. "Blank page" is an option.
