    I lost standby/hibernate

    I used the Recovery Disk on my Satellite A105 and unable to restore standby and hibernate features. I've updated bios, and re-ran recovery disc. Powercfg -a says system doesn't support standby or hibernate. XP Media Center OS. Just out of warranty and Toshiba will not offer any help. Thanks!

    I'm pretty sure that this works for XP, too:

    No harm in trying, anyways.

    Already tried that command. It said the system did not support hibernate when I tried it. But thank you for suggesting it. I'm open to more suggestions--whether or not I've tried them or not.
