I just got a Asus G2K-A1 and I tried to install office on it, but when I do it says please wait while setup prepares the necessary files then it stops and says that (Setup cannot continue because a required file is either corrupt or not available.
Run Setup again from the original source disc or download location.) But when I put it in another computer it works fine please help if you know anything that might help, thanks

Do you have any of the Office 2007 trial software or anything installed? May have to remove that if you do

The optical drive in the G2 might be having issues reading the disk. If it's a TSST like the other ASUS stuff, you might need to cart it over via other means.

Otherwise, it could also mean that there are other Microsoft Office programs installed that are conflicting with each other. The same family of Office typically has to be installed from the same medium (ie: if you have a SBE 2003 and you get a Pro 2003 disk, you might have trouble trying to install it).

You could try downloading the Office 2007 trial from MS and then activating it using the license on your disk.
