If I run HWMonitor 64 first it runs fine but if anytime I start up Hwinfo32 or 64 then I close the program and try to run HWMonitor 64 it will sit there showing the circle cursor and freeze up. The temps on the laptop rise and I can't even terminate it. The only way I can close it is I have to restart windows. I goggled this problem but Google was useless in providing any solution. No surprise there. This is on a L702x.

if you are running 64bit operating system and try to run 32bit hwinfo32 then that could be causing the problem. or it could be the 2 bits of software conflicting.

64-bit version does the same thing. It will not close unless I reboot windows.

To put it simply, it's because both programs are trying to read the EC (Embedded Controller) at the same time.
It doesn't matter if you use the 32 or 64 version.

Thanks. I ditched Hwinfo because HWMonitor is more important to use as it tells me my temps and battery wear.
