    I know 7 can run most Vista apps, but what about those for xp? Is it compatible with more programs than vista or about the same? I want to play not-that-old games on 7 that Vista couldn't run.

    it should be compatible with more whan vista (but not much more, some specific business apps that got requested, mostly, afaik).

    what game can't vista run? maybe you need to tweak it to be able to run it. and by a big chance, you need the same tweaks for win7, then, too.
