    How would you close TF2 when it crashes without restarting?

    Okay i have a really really annoying problem. I bought the game today and it would crash/lock up on every map change.

    Question is, it happens to my friends too but they don't have to restart their computer every time it happens. For me, i do.
    I cant tab out of the game, so i would hit ctrl alt del and hit task manager. Then what would happen is i would see the taskbar only. I can click on any other programs running but the rest of the screen is black. I can't close the program through task manager because i cant see it. All i can see is the taskbar, thus forcing me to manually restart.

    lol, maybe you ought to fix the crash/lock up issue instead..
    Anyway, make sure your task manager is in processes tab before you start game, and when it crashes you bring up the task manager and even though you can only see it on the taskbar just enter hl2 and press delete then enter.
