    Hi all,
I currently have vista home premium with sp1 on my laptop, is there any way i can upgrade to vista ultimate w/o sp1?
I really don't want to do a clean install..

To change the OS you do need to reinstall, sorry. You can do an 'upgrade', but you'd still need to install your programs again and an SP1=>SP'0' move probably need a fresh install anyway.

If you haven't run the SP1 clean up command then you can roll back SP1 and then do the Home Premium to Ultimate anytime upgrade. However, it would probably be best to just do a clean install.
