This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    How can I setup Internet Explorer 7 to use hotmail as my default email? This is on a Vista OS. Thanks.

    Load IE > press Alt key to get the file menu > Tools > Internet options > Programs (tab) > Under Internet Programs select Windows Live Mail from the drop down list for E-mail.

    It doesn't list Windows Live Mail as an option, just "Windows Mail"

    Oh ok, then I think you need to install Windows Live Sign-in Assistant that comes bundled with Windows Live Messenger (MSN client).
