How do I remove the curved arrows on the desktop icons in Vista? I know there was a tweak for XP.

I do believe that this thread would help you out.

The tweak on XP was deleting "HKey Classes Root>.lnk>IsShortcut" key. But it won't work for Vista, there will be a black space instead of the arrow. I have a reg fix that I downloaded off the Internet, it has the .ico file and the reg file. Let me find it, otherwise I'll upload from my PC.

Also, if you do the XP way, mentioned above by me, the "Favorite Links" won't work for you in "Computer" (formerly "My Computer").
Looks like I'll have to upload the files. Give me a second.
Edit: Nope, John B, that'll mess up the "Favorite Links" in "Computer" like I said. I checked it, and it does. Read the comments below in that link as well. -
Thanks, gentlemen, and sorry if this issue has been posted to death but those arrows were starting to bother my sole brain cell.

Oh I didn't know...

Here it is, from neowin.net.
They've clearly mentioned how to do it, without side effects. Should you have any trouble doing it, let me know by posting here and I will help you out.
