Also please tell us what OS you are running; as well as what browser and its version number. Unfortunately OS's from Win 7 to 10 preview are bashed/discussed in this subforum. Often the simplest thing is to reimage your machine assuming you make regular images to an external device.

Sounds like your PC hosts file is infected thus allowing those pops to come thorough. Check or upload your hosts file here and let other see it to see if it was changed/modified from what it should be. Also once a popup makes it past your A/V scans will not get rid of it. Also did you check your ADD/Remove uninstall in device manage to see if those pops were not installed by stealth install when you installed others software? This is also the reason why when you install software of any kinda always choose "Custom install" or let me pick what to install to prevent unauthorized 3rd party software that you don't want to be installed. If none of these works then you will have to wipe it clean reboot to factory install.

Get Free Malware bytes , install and let it check it out it will update its definitions as you have networking active. Chameleon by malware bytes is worth a mention too

Malwarebytes is good but may not be enough. I recommend using these programs in addition to Malwarebytes:

    Combofix
    ADWcleaner
    Rkill

get them from here: Windows Downloads

Not all pop-ups are harmful to computers. It depends on where these ads from.
Some malicious pop-ups could be triggered by malware. So why not carefully check your computer?
If your PC gets infected malware, your problem will be solved effectively and quickly.
I have ever got annoying ads, luckily these pop-up removal tips helped me out. :)

That helps no one. Especially to the OP if they only use Windows. Are you going to provide Linux Support for them as well if they go to Linux?

That is the last option to do when all else fails. Not always the best because if the OP fails to backup their data/file everything will be wipe clean doing this last method so unless you "Warn" the OP that doing so they will loose all their data one should tell others to do this last and final step.

If that was the case the site would say so but the vast majority isn't so unharmful to unsuspecting users whom are not computer/internet Savvy users.

But if your not sure look for my posting and I think there should have posted before on how to do it and uploaded the hosts file in zip form where you unzip and copy it to the hosts file location and overwrite the older hosts file to fix the popup problems. But check before doing so-don't just do it right away check the file to make sure everything on your side matches and works before doing so.
