I was just wondering how much space Vista x64 takes on a complete install. Also how much hardrive space do newer games take on average.

A full install of Vista Ultimate x64 with SP1 will take on average about 10-12gig. From what i've seen with newer games they average around 7-10 gig.

My Windows folder size is 13 GB on Vista x64 HP. My steam folder with HL2, HL2:EP1, HL2:EP2, Portal, and TF2 installed is just below 20 GB, so around 4 GB a game.

The client is ~8GB and takes ~15GB but reserves itself 30GB of diskspace for the future from what I heard.

if i were to play a game that takes up 30gb it has to choke the 9800gx2 tri sli and 2x q6600 at 3.6ghz with 16gb of ram in x64 os on low settings at 1280*720. and it has to have all the character from final fantasy series and 200 players online. it has to be fast paced action like unreal championship 2 conbined with action adventure of god of war 2. with melee weapons. you should also beable to make your own characters and record your voice and it be able to imatite what i say when i kill someone also it has to have over 200 5mile maps with the option of playing with 4people on the computer.(thats just the online part)
then the single player has to be atleast 8-12 player coop where there are just monsters anywhere. and the single player has to be as long as ff7 when you read and do all the sidemissions. (about 80-90hours) it also has to be a multi console system where the the 360 ps3 and pc can all inenjoy. (the wii is out of the question) and i dont feel like typing anymore(i should work for a gaming company
