Whenever I click something on this forum a tab pops up and says "you are today's lucky visitor"

what style forum are you using on here. go to bottom of this page and make sure vB4 Default Style is in the drop down box.
do you still get the popup
ive never used IE and always use firefox and the only time i get the popup is when ive used cc cleaner. it only happens the once and then i change it back to above style and it stops the popups.

No pop up here on the new NBR style, I'd be more worried about something being on my computer, the only pop up I've ever had on NBR is that score research card thing.

I don't think it's targeted ads since they would simply appear on the web page where they're supposed to, but there's a remote possibility.

I'm curious as to whether anyone else is having pop ups. I've never had a pop up on NBR since I joined aside from the one I mentioned, so I'm a bit surprised.

use antivirus, uninstall IE, Install FF or Chrome and use addon Adblock Plus. If Antivirus finds nothing then use another one just to make sure because I believe you have a trojan. Try Dr Web for example. Or Avira.
P.S. I recommend to have a portable version of Anvir Task Manager. Pretty good program, try it. Just don't click everything without thinking. Just look at it.

For reference, this is how the popups look like.

Good catch Thundr! Yes disable other AV/Malware programs and run these one at a time with all other applications closed. (In win 7 I normally would advise to run the scans in safe mode as well.. not sure about win 8)

Maybe cause they have some needs or sites that have program that work and use IE features that aren't present in Chrome or FF. I seen sites where if you use another browser not IE you loose functionality and scripts that fail to work in other browsers. So IE still have a reason for being a browser as well just cause it is M$ don't discount the browser. I like to have my options to browser choice even if I use M$.....
