    Hi Guys
I Bought A New Fujitsu Notebook , Its Hdd Has Only One Partition !
I Needed To Partition It To Many.
Loading My Window 7 (dvd Copy) It Kept Loading A Fresh Copy And Never Prompt Me If I Wanted To Partition That Hdd Or Not?
I Even Selected Some Option Which Led Me To Format The Hdd But It Again Loaded Windows Without Formatting !
The Only Dumb Way Left For Me Is To Remove Hdd And Hook It To Another Computer As A Second Hdd And Format It !
I Wonder How To Partition My Hdd ?
    Thank You

You could use the GParted live disc too.

use perfectdisk to defrag and move everything to the front of the partition then use disk manager(in computer management) to shrink the volume.

You can also use EASEUS Partition Magic home edition. It's free
Free Partition Magic alternative. Best Free Partition Manager Freeware for Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7 32 bit & 64 bit - EaseUS Partition Master Home Edition.

You can create and resize your partitions, then the machine will reboot and carry out the actions.

Using disk management, you have to defrag and boot time defrag in order to get the data out of the way of creating the partition. EASEUS moves the data for you and it's a much smoother process.

actually, you only need that if you want to squeeze as much as possible to the front. Microsoft's build in defrag doesn't move some 'reserved' blocks which in many case is in the middle of the partition(I believe for performance reasons). If you don't mind that(i.e. can shrink to only half or so), just a simple defrag and you can shrink the volume.

Yeah, I like the squeezing. Going from 500GB down to 100GB or less doesn't fare so easily when standard defrag will only allow you to shrink down to 250ish or so, depending on where it's got some system files.

I used EASUS and it is one hell of a tool. Free and easy to use. I recommend it.

Using windows 7 disc : Go For Install then Choose custome Then Go For Drive Option and Use Delete To Delete Any Partition That Might Exist Including The System Partition Then Hit new a Small Window Open To Choose The Size You Want .repeat That Last Step Until All Partitions Are Allocated (do Not Forget The Last One To Allocate) .
