Its been happening since a couple of weeks now.

At first it happened like 2 times out of 10. But now its happening all the time!

I have no idea whats causing it.. only thing I can think of is a firefox add-on.
(but that would be absurd, wouldnt it? )

I havent tested it with other browsers yet.
But the add-ons I have are:

    - Add-block plus
    - Accuweather
    - Measure it
    - Downloadhelper

    Anyway here's the problem:

Every time I read an email in hotmail, and press REPLY, or REPLY TO ALL,
    or well.. every button that has the function to reply to the sender of the email;
the message that I am replying to doesnt show up!
So what I get (when I press reply) is practically an empty message area WITHOUT the message that I am replying to!

This, is very unpractical.. and its upsetting me. I keep forwarding between the Inbox and an email message, repeating the "press reply" thing, over and over again.. just in the hope it will load WITH the original message. Instead of a blank message...

Has anyone heard of this? Dealt with this? I dont know why but I like hotmail, and gmail has it advantages,.. but I dont wanna give google everthing I do on the WWW. ( already using too much google reliable utilities )

    Thanks for reading.

I would try it on opera or chrome. Might be Adblock plus, I had that add-on on firefox and just as quickly got rid of it. It sounds more like a ISP issue than anything. But I would try it on a different web browser first.

Hotmail reply option does not include original message

Well, darnit. FF is the problem.

Thank you for posting that thread, a LOT of people started
experiencing this in March, and the amount has been rising ever since..

Guess all we can do is wait for an update.. wouldnt be suprised if Microsoft is messing with Mozilla. XD

I've had the problem once in a while (using FF) in the last weeks. It seems very random.

Since I'm now using thunderbird to manage that account (they finally gave us pop3 with hotmail...), I don't mind much.

Here's a work-around that you can use until the problem gets sorted out by FF or Microsoft: Before you hit the Reply button, manually copy the text of the message you're replying to. Then, when you're on the blank Reply screen, just paste in the message text where it should normally go. This should be pretty quick and easy and not too taxing, even if you have to do it with all your emails.

I routinely copy all of my message texts before I hit the Reply (or the Send) button anyway, because I've had it happen occasionally that for some reason there's a malfunction, and the message doesn't get sent, and then I have to start writing it all over again (grrrr!!!) - which is often very difficult, especially if it's a fairly long message. I even do this when I'm posting on a thread (like this one) because if there's a glitch in the system, you can lose your post, and like with email, you have to start writing it from scratch.

    I get this as well!
I didn't realise it was such a big problem, I just assumed it was me.
    It's flipping annoying though

IF and I mean if, it's caused by an extension, the only one I share in common with the OP is Ad-block Plus
