This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     I just started up GTA IV and was not able to sign it to live, I tried to go to hotmail.com and got a message like Service Unavailable!
    Anyone know whats going on ?

    There have been some DNS problems in the second-level zone servers the past week or so. Everyone is scrambling to get SSL DNS authentication (zone transfers, etc) implemented before the March deadline.

    Expect more of this the next two weeks.

    No way of telling if this is the cause of the msft (hotmail) outages, but several big hosting providers have had similar problems the past two days.

    It happens from time to time. And yes, I was trying to get into mine at that time too. Just waited a few minutes then got in, but the login page looked kind of weird. :p

    Yeah, it does happen with all email sites from time to time. They all have maintenance issues, and fortunately, the Hotmail issue didn't last long. I didn't have any trouble signing in about an hour later, so I guess it's been resolved.
