A friend of mine's hotmail is sending spam to her contacts without her knowledge. It happens no matter what computer she uses.
Anything she can do to stop that?

    Thanks.

I've had the exact problem, chnaged my email address and it seemed to sort the problem out.

Probably also worth doing a virus scan and a scan with malwarebytes, just to be aon the safe side.

I had this happen to me!!! I changed the password and it still came back..
Do below as bangert says..I ran my AV & Spyware on it..and it killed it.. ;)

(I had to change my password 2x).

    Good luck!

You are correct bangert!!! The AV & Spyware scan I ran killed it.

    Cin ;) :)

Change the password - and make it something strong that can't be hacked using something lowlevel like a dictionary attack. Also, tell your friend to make sure she doesn't write her passwords down on paper and leave that paper lying around where other people might see it.

Changing the e-mail address is rather drastic, as she'd have to notify everyone of her new address. I'll tell her to try changing the PW first.
