Can someone tell me how can I un-install a real annoying tool bar I downloaded in Internet Explorer? I looked in the add/remove list in the control panel but it's not there. Can anyone help please?

It's the p2p program eMule toolbar. I had the program long before the tool bar was installed and now I can't get rid of it. I hate any thrird party toolbar in IE so I normally get rid of them by the simple uninstallation, however this doesnt show up anywhere- I have CCleaner... looked in there and still not in the list. Bizaar.

Have you tried going to Tools/Manage Add-Ons and disabled it? Sure its not coming up under another name in Program Files? Try Revo Uninstaller as well

What exactly is the toolbar? Google might provide more specific suggestions for removal if those offered so far don't work.

Edit: missed p2p program eMule toolbar

/puts on glasses, heads for Google.

^^ Check the Addons, and hunt for it in the program files or search the local HDD and see if any executable or dll comes up that is related to it..!!

I had a look in the Manage Add-Ons but disabling it wont get rid of it. I noticed in that dialog box it also tell you the dll file eg: tbemule.dll If I locate and delete that it may fix the prob?
