    Hi People,

For some reason, the SD memory card is not being read / detected in my laptop. I can see it listed in Device Manager with an yellow exclamation mark and 'Device status' says "This device cannot start. (Code 10)".

Any idea how to fix this, please?

I have a 16GB SDHC card and I don't want to let it go waste.. and I'd like to get this working with the SD Adapter and my laptop.

    Thanks in advance.. Cheers!

You probably need to install a specific driver for the card reader. It is the first thing i'd try anyways.

Thanks.. and yes, that's what I was looking for right now.

It's a SanDisk 16GB SDHC with the SanDisk SD Adapter... Though I have no idea what / which driver I'd need to download and install.

The driver isn't for the card, but for the card reader. For example, the one in my G73 is from Alcor, you should be able to find the right driver on your driver disc or on the support page for your laptop's model.

    Ah yes.. Thanks.

It is listed as Ricoh in the Device Manager and drivers/device are working fine.. But I can't find any drivers either, if I try to update, from the Ricoh website or elsewhere.

The only one that I saw was from the HP site (Ricoh media card reader driver)... but it's from 2009 as well.

Anyway. Guess I'm going to try the card in some other laptop first.. if it doesn't work even then, I'll probably just buy a new card.
