    Hi all

I have a AT&T (HTC) 8525 on WM6 & Vista Business with Windows Mobile Device Center that I'm trying to make talk to each other.

    I have established Partnership.
    I have established Connection.

It is upon Synchronizing that it throws this error:

    Windows Mobile Device Center:
Synchronization cannot be started because you are not able to log on to the network and access information. Restart your desktop computer and synchronize again. If the problem persists, contact your network administrator.

I don't know what network it's trying to connect to and why it's referring to my laptop (Sony SZ691) as a "desktop computer". I don't know if there is some setting that is wrong and that's why it's not working.

If anyone could help me, I'd really appreciate it. I've called Sony and they say it's a Microsoft Vista Issue. I've called Microsoft and they say that if Vista was already installed on the laptop when I bought it then I need to talk to Sony. I called Sony back again and they told me to call AT&T. I called AT&T and they don't know - they told me to call HTC.

I really need some help here.

    Thank you!
    Dawn.

    Hi,
This is a definitely an issue with WMDC. I'm afraid that the sync software is extremely buggy and sometimes it's just a hit or miss. Most likely you won't get any help from AT&t or Sony.

Anyway, how are you syncing the two devices? USB? Bluetooth?
