I have two computers, and I want them synced so they mirror. Minor problem is that one computer has my paths as C:\Docs...\User and my other computer has C:\Docs...\(My Name).

I changed the one that has "user", changing the profile over to my name and restarted, but it didn't update the path. I need to know what to do - this is driving me ballistic.

I also updated the registry "RegisterOwner", that didn't work either.

System is Windows XP SP2 on both

How did you change the profile name ? If you did it while logged in to that profile, then that could explain why ity didn't update the path (because several files of that folder were already being used by the OS). Instead, login as the administrator (or as another user with admin privileges) then delete the previous user and corresponding user folder and create the new user with the name you want (backup any important data before deleting).
