need to send my old fujitsu siemens lappy back for repair so need to wipe the hard drive as been used in the past for data transfer at work
(i certainly wasnt going to use my gaming laptop).

whats the best program to wipe it.

ive got D ban iso on disk but i know some of the guys at work use kill disk.
doesnt kill disk have to run from another computer connected by ide or a connection like that.

will d ban do the job good enough and once wiped do i just load the operating system disk again and reload.

another first for me so still learning all the time.

    thanks

Dban will do the job quite nicely, once you're done, just treat the drive as a new blank HDD.

Parted Magic can also take care of wiping your drive i think, it can at least perform a secure erase for SSDs.

EDIT: why not just send it without the drive in it?
