I have an HP Pavilion dv2000, running Windows XP (ver 2002 sp2).
I cannot use Print Screen / screen shot / capture facility.
I want to copy / paste screen shots into Paint & Word.
    Is this a known problem?
    Does anyone have any ideas?
    thanks and regards
    Dannyll

I never had a problem with print screen function... just press "fn" and "prt sc" simultaneously (i know you must had tried that before) anyway...if it doesn't work, try their suggested utilities above.

but i use this one (so simple little tool):

Thank you so much zerOpulse and all others who responded.
I feel pretty stupid, but I never tried the "fn" key - sure I tried
"ctrl", "alt", "shift", but not the "fn".
Now that I am aware of it - it's pretty obvious, because it has
a box around it, like the tasks on the function keys.
If only all computer issues were so easily resolved.
Thanks again and regards from sunny Australia.

Remember that the print screen button sends the picture to windows clipboard. To access clipboard select run and type in clipbrd.exe
