My HD DVD works fine with Vista but not with XP. When I play the DVD, I can hear the sound but the screen is blank. I tried a couple of video drivers from laptopvideo2go.com but it doesn't solve the problem. How do I make it work with XP?

    Sony SZ381
    Core 2 Duo 2.33 GHz
GeForce Go 7400 (Forceware version 84.91)
    3GB RAM
    LG GGC-H20L drive
    Power DVD Ultra
    13.3" screen (1280x800)

All latest patches installed including the firmware for the drive

    Forceware 84.91? Upgrade that now.
XP might not have the codecs installed on it. Is it the X360 HD-DVD player? (HD-DVD drive in a sony laptop? no)

I tried upgrading Forceware from laptopvideo2go but it didn't solve the problem. This is LG Blu-Ray/HD DVD combo SATA internal drive, connected to my laptop with SATA to USB2 converter.

OK, problem solved but not in the way that I like it. I have to install AnyDVD trial version to make HD-DVD works with XP. But I don't want to pay the software just so that I can make it work with XP.

What else can I do to make it work with XP? Video drivers from laptopvideo2go didn't solve my problem.
