Hi guys, I've had my new Toshiba laptop for about 2 days now and overall I'm very happy. However, in the package there was no Windows Vista disk. Is that usual that no windows disk is given with a new laptop? (this is my first laptop).
If so, how do I go about re-formatting my laptop.

Pssst...Call them and say you want a Disk. I did and it worked.

Yeap, they don't give you a disk to save money. As well, it's a restore disc, and its located as a partition on your hard drive. You need to burn it yourself to get a disk with the restore CD.

I can't see any application for recovery disks. The only thing Toshiba gave me was one CD which included recovery for pre-installed programs. Reading the manual, there is supposed to be some recovery stuff in the hidden partition. Anyone know how to access this partition?
And on the windows disc issue, I'll ring Toshiba UK up tommorow to get them to send me the disc.
Btw, I'm interested in getting Vista Home Premium anyway (I've got business), is it possible to buy it named OEM? Is there any big disadvantages of getting the OEM version instead of the proper version?
EDIT: Acually, that CD I was talking about, the pre-installed programs one, is actually a product recovery has CD. It also has windows vista business written on it which must mean that is the windows CD.
Got new laptop!! But no windows disk.
