I got this cause supposedly it is free with rebate when buying a computer off of HP (after rebate, which i can't right now since i don't got the computer right now). I got it and the CD that came with it seems to have mud IN the CD or something. Anyway, when i try to install the software with the CD, it is extremely slow and at around 3% it will error and not allow me to download. After doing this a couple of times with variations, i tried something new. I just connected the printer and got the wizard to install new software. It said insert software disk now so i did, then it said it was successful, but the CD was still running trying to set up an install. The printer seems to work fine, even with shared networks.

Anyway, does this limit me anyway? Or is the printer fine and i will have no problems this way?

Yes it will limit you. You loaded MS "mini" drivers. You can download the HP Drivers from HP.com. Follow the instructions on the left hand side of the page.
