I find it's alright, very slick GUI, aesthetically pleasing. Fast start up time is a plus, my big problem is the lack of fingerprint support for it, other than that it's alright.

Google Chrome is pretty good (actually using it now.) Scrolling is messed up though because it goes right to the bottom of the page when i use the vertical scroll area of my touchpad or roll the wheel on the mouse. anyone else notice this?

I'm on it now, just downloaded it for the first time. Like kingraptor said, when you scroll it automatically goes right to the bottom of the page, pretty annoying.

Also I find that the more tabs I open the more instances of chrome.exe run in the backround. I have 3 tabs open right now and there are 4 chrome.exe in the back, 50mb, 24mb 17mb and 17mb

If you try to end a process whatever tab it is will say OH SNAP something went wrong, lol

Google needs to look into this because if you are tabbed browsing kind of person this thing looks like it could suck up system resources rather quick...

Hey, it's only beta anyways, neat GUI btw.

That's because every tab you're using is run independently in the browser, so if one tab crashes it won't take anything else down. Google doesn't need to look into that, they DESIGNED that. I agree they should look into memory leaks though. But when it's all said and done, I believe Chrome will still be more memory intensive than the other browsers.

I did use it at first. I like the whole web apps from a webpage thing-using it with my schools Outlook Web Access page works well.

It seemed VERY snappy at first. Now though it seems a bit slower than what I first thought, so I'll find myself switching back to Firefox-that plus the lack of extensions....I love my Firefox extensions! :)

Ah I got ya. Still too much of a resource hog for me right now. You wouldn't think so though with it's minimalistic theme and layout.

    I do like it though.

. downloaded on day 1, liked it
    . tested it, liked it
. but, no longer using it because:
--- security is the biggest concern, from my point of view
--- reports and blogs have been surfacing regarding security holes all over, and the Chrome team is very into it, plugging holes as they find them

So until there is more "open" declarations of what can be exploited and what is not, this browser will be chilled (by me) for a little while longer

example of one of the security reports:
    http://www.securitytracker.com/alerts/2008/Sep/1020823.html

    cheers ...
