I installed a French install of Windows 7 Professional and have changed it to English via an English language pack. A couple things are still in French (for example the wording for the ethernet and wireless in task manager), nothing big, except for this problem with Google Chrome. It underlines every word in red as if it is spelled wrong. I have the default language in Chrome set to English, yet it still does this. Please help.

I agree it is annoying. You can turn it of in Options/ Under the Hood /Change font and languages / Languages.

So there is no fix other than to turn off spell check or install an English version of 7? IE doesn't do this and Chrome is my only other browser installed (finally was able to let go of FF and Opera).

Fixed it. Uninstalled Chrome, but kept all my custom settings. After reinstall, spell check works correctly without underlining everything! :D
