Windows 7 Calculator for Windows Vista

Aero Snap Beta - AeroSnap is a simple but powerful application that allows you to resize, arrange or maximize your desktop windows with just drag'n'drop. Simple drag a window to a side of your desktop to snap it or drag it to the top to maximize. When you drag it back to the last position, the last window size will be restored. Really easy, isn't it? It also works with multiple monitors!
Aero Shake - Free utility Aero Shake brings the Windows 7 Aero Shake feature to your pre-Windows 7 computer.Like the new Windows 7 feature, shaking the active window with your mouse will minimize all other windows; shaking it again will restore them.

here's hoping a variation of the superbar comes out!

Aero Snap at least is for either XP or Vista. It kinda works on XP. You have to drag things really far off the edge of the screen (80% off or so) to be sure that it'll snap, though. It's not quite as difficult to get it to go full-screen at the top, though.
Still not as good as Linux's versions, but good enough that I'll probably keep it installed for awhile. And it is in beta, after all.
As for the Calculator, how exactly legal is it? Is it the actual Win7 application or a copy of it? The other two just replicate functionality but the Calculator download sites don't have quite the same "do the same with a different program" air to them.
While we're at it, Taskix is another free program that will add the ability to reorder the taskbar to your XP or Vista computer. So there you are with another 7 feature without spending a dime! -
Is that all work properly on Vista? Anyway, I just know about Aero Shake, looks nice
-
No super bar? That's the neat thing with Win7 pre-beta
-
cool i really like the calculator a lot looks better than the original.

I think the backend changes to Windows 7 are what most users care about.

hey folks, just want to say that both the aero shake and the other one, where the windows adjust to to top or side of the screen, both seem to be working pretty well on my vista sp2 beta. windows minimize almost instantaneously, however the window you actually shake, loses whats displayed until you maximize it(or auto maximize to top of screen) but at the end of the day, your more likely then not gonna maximize that window anyway after clearing the screen so its no real issue.
im just wondering if there is anyway of getting the new calculator to actually replace the vista one in the start menu as it only seems to work for me from the .exe file? -

I downloaded Shake and Snap on my cousin's 32-bit system and I really like both. Snap works flawlessly, but Shake, as someone posted earlier, has a minor flaw. The contents of the page do disappear momentarily and sometimes reappear without interference and sometimes the user must maximize the screen for the contents to reappear. However, these are two extremely cool features. Someone may want to argue with me, but I really think that these features will somewhat increase my productivity. I really do believe that.
Does anyone know if there are any compatibility issues with 64-bit Vista? Does it even matter?
Thank you, Vinumsv, for posting this thread.

I have been reading that Windows 7 GUI is going to be different than what the pre-beta and 7000 build look like. While I definitely like the updates to the task bar, I would like some new UI features that break away from traditional Windows.
One thing I'd like to see is support for multiple desktops, or for a better way to manage 20 or so opened windows at a time. My task bar gets cluttered in a hurry at work and at home from all the things I do as a software developer. I know there are lots of freeware tools available to customize Windows, but it would be nice to have some of those built-in. -
On another note, I played with the new calculator and really like it. It's something so small, but it's nice, nonetheless. Like someone else mentioned, a few more financial calculating capabilities would have been even better. -
Is there any way to set the Win7 calculator as my default in Vista?
