I just bought a msi laptop and it has been running like a dream, for gaming anyways. The problem is that 40 percent of the time when i use web browers such as opera and fire fox, the clients would freeze. Task manager can't kill the process and neither can pskill cmd; and i am forced to hold the power button for a shut down. Please help :( :( :(

So what about other browsers? Such as IE, or Google Chrome?

Does this affect only internet browsers?

Try to fully remove one and reinstal it (FF for example)

Is this a new problem, or has it always been a problem with your laptop? Do you have any other processes running in the background? Have you scanned for viruses/trojans/etc? What operating system are you using? Is it up to date? Are your drivers up to date?

Next time it freezes, try switch off your wireless, and it might unfreeze.

Do you remember what you did to the comptuer three weeks ago? Did you install any applications, drivers, etc? If it didn't happen when you received the laptop, then it was either a Windows update (doubtful) or an application/driver that you installed (probable) that's behind the problem.

I agree. Zonealarm causes all kinds of strange behavior. But, look here first--

uninstalling zonealarm has been known to kill your internet connection

The second thing I would consider if the above does not fix it (I think it will) is to remove and reinstall flash player.

    backup + clean install.

don't waste your time trying to figure out the problem, that's what I would do.
