I recently bought a laptop at best buy and after using it for the past 10 days I've decided it just doesn't offer enough advantages over my current laptop (which I was going to sell) so I've decided to return it. however, i've already loaded all the data from my old laptop onto the new one and have logged onto my bank account, paypal etc with the new laptop so i want to be sure that my logins and documents are gone for good before returning it. i know about "nuking" the computer but I'm guessing I wouldn't be able to return it after doing that...so what's the best way to make sure all my data and info are gone for good while still keeping the laptop in returnable condition? sorry if this is an obvious question, i'm not very familiar with this type of stuff and this is also my first time using Windows 7 so i'm unfamiliar with this OS in general as well.

    thanks for any help!

Just do a factory restore using the recovery DVD or restore partition. No one at BestBuy is going to make the effort to recover any info after that.

    Cheers,

First I would recommend making a system image so you will not lose any data - Paragon Backup & Recovery (Advanced) Free Edition - Free Download
This can be done to DVD or external hard drive (recommended IMO)
Then as panzer06 states do a factory restore. It would help to know what Brand and model laptop you have as the procedures vary among manufacturers.
