Does anyone know of a place that offers it?

I know WindowsBlinds or whatever offers it but they charge you and if you don't pay then it's like a limited trial thing.

Yeah, I wasn't impressed with WindowBlinds.

Try the Vista Inspirat 1.1 - it's awesome! Google it, and you'll find a place to download.

Is it a trial thing where my theme will just revert back to regular windows XP after a certain amount of days? Or is it permenant? Because on downloads.com it says it's shareware and is "free to try" for anything from Stardock.

it is a free version that you don't get all of the feature, but you get all of the good features with the free version

it isn't a time trial in is free as long as you want

I used the trial version of WindowBlinds for the Vista Theme and it worked just fine, I'd just get a message on startup telling me why I should pay to upgrade to the full version.

lol, its the same color and its even smaller which is a plus. And it has a "Dock" on the top of the screen for easy access to files.

Just downloaded it....very cool. I had to get rid of the black task bar and menu bar, it was too dark. Almost made my eyes feel weird. I just changed the color back to the XP silver. All good now.

I tried the Vista Inspiration, didn't like the dock very much.

I'm too addicted to my quick launch.

Windowsblinds is weird. I've had it on my systems before and although the free version does have great features (but that annoying popup) after about 4 months of operation it starts breaking down and doing all sorts of errors and problems. It's just not a product that seems to last over extended periods of time for me.

So watch out. You might get it and 4 months from now the start button no longer shows up and you don't know why, reload the theme, and it just keeps happening. Very weird.

Yes, that Pop up gets so annoying. 'O, to fix that, we have to pay to disable the pop up". I dont think so.

i guess i will try inspirat, can you adjust it to the grey instead of the black taskbar?

tried it and apparently you cannot, if they would allow you to customize it, like changing the taskbar color etc. I would use it, i didn't like the icons either i like the default windows icons much better.

It messed with the quicklaunch, it is nice that it made the taskbar a tiny bit shorter but it made quicklaunch icons bigger and made me lose alot of taskbar space, they did a great job on it i just wish i didn't have to use those icons or the black taskbar, back to vista xp, I have no problems with it, i don't plan to.

i love my theme leave me alone! ^_^
