The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Hi there

    Firstly I'd like to say I apologise if the question I am about to ask is against forum rules, I've also done a search and couldn't really find a suitable answer.

    Anyway the question is - could someone point me in the direction of a piece of absolutely free software (no registration required, no purchase fees etc.) that works 100% (some free software only works on so many files or part of a file) and will convert the iPod M4P files and anything else on my iPod to MP3 and DRM protected WMA's to MP3 or an unprotected file that I can then convert to MP3 using another piece of software.

    Thanx in advance for any help/advice and I apologise again if the question is outside the forum rules. :)
