    How do I format a partion of an hard drive so I can reinstal windows.

    Windows 9x : windows 98 boot disk.. "format c:" from a dos prompt.
    Windows 2k XP : boot to the os cd and follow the instructions.

    Sharp AL27, Athlon 64 2700+ 60Gb hdd, 512Mb mem, 64Mb vid, superbright lcd. DVD +-/RW. Great choice for business use.

    no os cd came with my computer, I have only a recovery cd that automaticaly does something.

    if I made The harddrive partions diffrent
    from:35/35g
    to:10/60g
    will it erase some data on my other partion?
