It most likely is. All it should do is change the theme, icons, gui elements that kind of stuff.

i love it! been using under XP for years. (a cheated way for not buying a mac)

i would not recommend it for vista, at all!
the group at iVista project ( http://windowsedge.com/iVista Project/RKLauncher.html) is working on the OSX desktop for vista, and it is almost there, I would wait for this

    cheers ...

doesn't work in vista at all. All it does is log you out, refuses to install

Would restoring to a system restore point be better than uninstalling? I was thinking it would leave all sorts of crap and not completely uninstall on its own...

not this app. I used it on many comps (and still using it) and it never gave me any issues when un.installing

    cheers ...

Meh, for some reason, the install never finishes and my CPU usage goes to 100%, with fans blowing at full power and CPU going as high as 69C. Tried installing three times and I even re-downloaded the installer I used the third time, nothing. The installer just stays at "full progress bar" but never closes or finishes. Worse are the side effects I mentioned on the CPU. System restore saves the day again. lol

As much as I love XP, I'm quite tired of its look. lol. If only these skinning programs were less troublesome...
