right i was wondering is it safe to have an app running all night to try and fix a stuck pixel, becuase i have one and its really annoying, if it was in the corner then i wouldnt mind so much but its right near the centre.

so will leaving the laptop on all night fix this problem?
any good apps that could help fix the problem?

    Hi.

try this website, it has a few free programs, have you tried tapping the area lightly with the rubber eraser end of a pencil.

Has the faulty pixel been their since you got your laptop or has just appeard, because if it just appeard, running pixel fixing software might cause more pixels to become faulty.

    Regards

    John.

    EDIT : this is my 1000 post :D :D :D :D

Yesterday, I had this 1cm line in the right corner of my lcd screen in different colours: blue, red, yellow, ... while the wallpaper was blue. I only had it on my wallpaper, not when using programmes or running a game. I then changed wallpapers and it was gone. Could these have been stuck pixels?

It should be safe; LCD displays don't get image burn-in the way the old CRTs used to (no phosphors to burn). Whether or not it'll fix the problem though, who can tell?
