I just got my notebook today, Sony SZ360, this is the first notebook.
Are there any programs I should be using for management purposes like tracking the temperature etc... ?
Any other software you would recommend a notebook newbie to keep my machine tuned?
    Thanks

Maybe MobileMeter...? You should also use a virus scanner, Ad-aware, Spybot S&D or similar anti-spyware programs, CCleaner occasionally, Firefox or IE7 for safety and make sure to keep up on your virus/spam definitions and Windows updates.

This might be off topic some but is 44 degrees Celcius good for a HDD temp?

What is the Temperature thing for? Mine is at 0 degrees.
