    Hi.

I have a lot of bookmarks, and when i click the bookmark menu tab in firefox it normally takes two seconds for the bookmarks to show with the photo icons to their left and i can click and load any page.

But with v31 it takes ten seconds before i can click on a bookmark as they icons do not show straight away and i can do nothing but wait.

I have had to go back to v30, then my bookmarks work fine, back to two seconds loading time.

Does anybody else have this problem, i dont want to be stuck on ff v30

I downloaded the firefox bookmark addon official "places maintenance 1.3" plug-in and ran it a few time but it does not fix my problem.

    Thanks

    John.

Have you tried resetting your profile?

Open up the bookmarks menu [show all bookmarks], then under Import and Backup, backup your bookmarks to a file on your desktop.

And any passwords you have saved in Firefox you will want to write down as they will be deleted as well.

Then follow the instructions in this article to find your profile folder: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profiles-where-firefox-stores-user-data

    Now delete it.

Now when you open Firefox again, try importing your bookmarks from backup (from the same menu as you exported them) and then close and reopen Firefox. See if the bookmarks tab lags when opening now.

After i cleared my preferences, i delete everything in the folder, firefox 30 looked like a fresh install, i updated to 31 and then imported my bookmarks, i then closed firefox and re-opened it and my bookmarks opened straight away no problem just as with v30, but as soon as i closed firefox and re-opened it, i was back to wating 10 seconds for my bookmarks to load.

So i am back to used firefox v30, nice try.

    John.
