Anyone has the same problem ? Seems like me firefox decided to start making the windows start navication sound (not sure when, but its been a while) in random intervals.

Trying to troubleshoot it at the moment. Ive had no success with firefox in save mode (no addons) so ill probably check the fingerprint since it has a function that works with IE only but you never know.

If anyone has any thoughts please do share them :p

What about unistalling FF completly, then removing the app folder and reinstalling it?

Maybe its something that went wrong and stick too much...
(CQ search is impossible to remove from FF it seems.. I had to remove FF to get rid of it...)

Not a bad idea, ill give it a shot now, although its a bit strange that it happens in firefox save mode as well. Bad thing about this issue is that its kinda random so its a bit hard to isolate it :p

Also for some odd reason is seems to be triggered when typing since ive heard the sound 5 times by the end i finished this post! :p

PS: or not, i think i just found the problem, verifying now...

    Strange...
By the way, not Bluetooth devices with failing batteries around?
I was once wondering about a sound at starup...

... it was still there after a windows reinstall... i was my bluetooth mouse telling me the battery is nearly empty ...

(but it wasn't a windows sound)

Nop no BT devices around, i even have the laptop's one disabled, i always enable it when im going to use it.

Im not sure yet since im waiting for the sound to verify it, but it seems like an issue with steam (!).

Steam does exactly the same issue when pressing on a link which i just thought a few seconds ago.

But apparently its not since it just did the sound again... :p What a silly issue! Re-installing firefox it is then, lets see...

Ok, i havent verified it yet but im pretty confident this is the issue...

Xfire! Basically their new ads do the clicking sound whenever they change. I thought that would be the problem so i just sat there and waited for it to change :p

After that i checked xfire's forums since apparently Google doesnt get the posts from within xfire forums (at least not the ones i just found) and more users have the same issue.

So ill probably give it like 15mins to make sure then just hope for a fix or will probably disable the windows sound :p

ps, i hate small problems! :p

edit: Yeap, 15m later and no clicking sound.. Seems i'll have to play a bit with the sound mixer till they get it fixed then (if they can/will that is :p)
