I am running Windows XP Professional and after having Mozilla Firefox open for 5 minutes or so, I get an error message saying that:

Firefox.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

This happens EVERY 5 minutes and I don't know why. It gets really annoying as I am trying to read an interesting article or something and the **** thing keeps shutting down. Any ideas as to how I can fix this?

There seems to be many, many issues with this latest release. Sony users that have fingerprint readers report not being able to use them after this newest release has been installed. This is one of the reasons why I've disabled the 'automatic update' feature in Firefox. I won't be downloading this until they release an update that actually WORKS...

On a side note, seems the larger and more popular Firefox gets, the more the little red fox starts to look like the big blue 'e'...

Also check to make sure that your extensions are compatible with the new version. If not, check for updates and update. After that you may try disabling extension by extension if you are still having the problem and see if you can single one out that may be causing a problem if in fact an extension is causing the problem.
