I'm not positive on which section to post this... so I guess I'll just post it here :p

My FF recently has been acting up, and every time I view a flash movie (youtube, armorgames, etc.) the CPU usage just shoots up to 50-60%. Regular youtube videos are still watchable, but HD ones are not. They lag like crazy, and flash games lag too. My FF never did this before, so I don't get why it would start now, I don't think I installed anything new... Anyone know the solution to this?

Did you recently update your Firefox version or install a new/updated version of an extension?

Using Firefox 3.5.2, newest version. Turns out this happens in IE too, not just FF. I think there's a problem with my flash. I deleted my flash and reinstalled it too, still no luck.

Could it be your internet connection?

I had a problem on Youtube HD in FF today - I'm in the UK.
In Germany I didn't, but in the UK I get a 3,5MBit/s (or more - but not often) - at my grandfather's in Germany I was getting up to 40MBit/s even though he paid for 16.
(Yes, once got only 4 too - but normal its very fast)

Speaking about reinstalling Flash - hasn't FF 3.5.x native Flash support?

I any case, if you want to reinstal it, first run a Flash removal tool from Adobe.

(I had a different Flash issue when IE8 came out - and it needed that)

I solved the problem, turns out my laptop was on power saver mode the whole time XD. No wonder my WC3, Assassin's Creed and Firefox was lagging haha.

    Ah well :)
    Nice you solved it.

By the way, the medium/optimiuzed or whatever its called mode - not high power is generally the best to use.

(Power saver for on the go)
