    ...
Their official page still says 2.0.0.1 is the most current version. Not to mention your download link is broken...

    This page
reveals that 2.0.0.2 is still a release candidate (RC4), and therefore, not a final build.

Also, by "we" are you implying you are a Firefox developer? Just curious.

    ... I'm confused.

I found the download for 2.0.0.2, yet it is still a RC. By final build do you mean it will be the final build once they release it for the public?

I think he's just quoting what it says on the Firefox site... :)

So, is there actually anything new in this version? Or are we talking 2.0 + a few security fixes?

    Ahh... got it. Thanks.

Security fixes. Feature changes come in bigger version changes. Such as 2.5.0.0. I doubt they'd add anything this early on anyway. Even if they finished a new feature they might just save it for 3.0. The more features you release at once, the more hype it gets.

ur link was bening pointed to "nightly builds"

rado354 link (on the 1st line) correctly pointed to "release" - and it is the final build for ff2.0.0.2

i m too busy at the moment playing with minefield (3.03apre) and enjoying it too much - minus ALL extensions and themes :-(

    cheers ...

Hmm... now that I try his download link again, it works. Thanks for proving my ignorance! ;)

    Matt

Edit: Just installed 2.0.0.2. qhn, all of my extensions are working fine (I don't use themes because I like the default one too much). Most extensions will work on anything 1.5-2.0.0.*.

I would expect not. :) They 1.5 extensions didn't work for me when I was using 2.0 beta. By the way, when is 3.0 scheduled for official release? I know that the 3rd 3.0 alpha is scheduled for the end of March...

the build has been on 3.03apre for the past week. So i guess that it is on schedule for march alpha introduction. With the rate it is performing - that good, have not seen any hiccup with any nightly build at the moment - , i'd take bet (&hope) that the alpha version would be bypassed.

Now if the extensions & themes r just up to speed

    cheers ...
