I just reformatted my new dell e1705 and I have been having this problem since doing that. All drivers are up to date. Firefox works normally but then it will hang and I have to end the process. Will reinstalling help fix this?

Maybe...also I've found FF doesn't like PDFs as much. I've set that to by default just ask me where to download them.

did u notice as when, what caused ff to hang?
i used ff2.0 since day 1 with many extensions/themes and personally see no problem with performance (xp, vista)

would not hurt, make sure that u totally clean out (unh.install) of related ff folders as well before the re.installation

    cheers ...
