No idea what's happened to my firefox but all of a sudden (today) firefox is loading pages slower and sometimes half crash's. It will open tabs but won't allow me to change tabs. It will also allow me to close tabs but not the whole firefox browser.
I've tried opera and ie7 and they are working fine and faster than firfox is now.
All I can think to try is running my spyware and adware stuff.

Try it in Safe Mode. Or else try uninstalling/reinstalling FF. Or try clearing the FF cache (erasing all settings).

I don't know if FasterFox is the answer. I'd install it or make manual adjustments to speed it up when you fix it. However, it sounds like you have an issue with the program itself. An extension wouldn't help that.

Is there any way I can get the old 1.0.7 Firefox back? I have a lot of skins and extension that aren't supported by Firefox 2.0 AND I WANT TO USE THEM!

Download Firefox 1.0.7 and install it? Why not use Firefox 1.5 at least?

Yeah, I was using Firefox 1.5 before and never had any problems at all with it. FF seems to be working fine now but who knows how long that will last.

I don't think you can. Firefox 2 should be stable enough so that they want everyone to have it.

I haven't had any problems with FF2. Except I changed the theme back to the Firefox 1.5 visuals.
