I downloaded the latest patch for BF2142 and when it finished the file didnt go into one as it usually does and the part file was left on the desktop. When i go to delete the file it says that the file is no longer there and that i have to find it!! Whats going on???
How do i delete a file that is no longer there but i can see it?

Try a reboot and if it is still there you should be able to delete it. If that doesn't work, there are other things to try.

Is it possible for u to post a Print Screen of the error message, or type out exactly what the error message says.

oh it's Vista!..ughh!!!..I don't have much experience w/ Vista but I say give Unlocker a try.

Just download and install it, then right-click on the file again after its installed, select Unlocker and choose the "action" to 'delete' and "unlock all".
