Does anyone know of an app they can recommend that will let me sync my network home drive (about 4GB) and my common drive (about 60GB) onto my laptop?

I want to store them on my D drive of my laptop. It would be ideal if the software could let me access the drives as if they were on the net work i.e. H drive and K drive instead of having to use D drive for all my filepaths in my documents, however as long as I can replicate them on my D drive and there is some software that would sync the two systems up that would be great.

    Cheers

I don't think it's network aware, so you'd have to mount your home as a network drive, but I've had good luck with NTI Shadow in a couple of situations. It has the option to schedule or real time syncing, for file type exclusion/inclusion, and for versioning. It's not rsync, but it does the trick.

Unfortunately, I don't think it lets you only initialize the sync manually, and I'm not sure how the real time syncing would react to source/destination unavailability.

Actually, rsync is available for Windows using cygwin, if you're up to it.

I'm sorry, I'm not sure I understand what you're going for with the drive lettering. A virtual partition within an existing partition?

SyncBack is a nice sync tool. The link is to the free version that I used to sync my laptop to my desktop and my flash drive to a folder on my desktop.
