I am hoping that this is the correct place to post this.
I have a video mp4 file which i recorded on my mobile phone. I emailed it to a friend who uses a Mac and she was unable to view the file.

Can someone suggest some file converting sw which will allow me to convert the file so that it can be viewed on a Mac?

I do use a sw called 'Ultra MPEG-4 Converter', but i don't know what to convert the file type to for it to be viewed on a Mac, any suggestions?

    Thanks in Advance

Tell your friend to download the VLC Media Player for her Mac, she should then be able to play the file using VLC.

MPEG1 is usually the lowest common denominator for video files.

Download VLC is the best way to go. Otherwise you are stuck downloading a codec pack.

Convert your file type to H264 so the Mac computer will be able to use its default player (QuikTime) to view your movie.
