The files are not in use by any other application.......what gives?

When I highlight all the mp3 files in that respective folder, then choose get tag from mp3 name.

This never happened with Vista or XP

    Fixed!

Solution, Uninstalled Tag&Rename, restarted, then installed again, but this time with the RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR

    Everything works fine now!

I have developed a habit to always run every intallation executable as an administrator ever since the days of Vista, but I guess I didn't accidently the first time I installed Tag&Rename.

Strange though, how that drastically affected the functionality of the program

not really strange, but still impressive.

well, i normally never install as administrator, as it should do that automatically. that's the job of uac. didn't the setup pop up a uac dialog?

    Sure thing dude.......

First I thought it's the new version that caused the problem, cause I was using v3.5.1 just fine before, then it prompted me to download the new version, which I did (v3.5.2) that's when I experienced this error........

dunno where the error happened exactly. but ill let u know if it happens again

    thanks for your support d00d
