This is a place to let everyone know how you spend your time on your notebook in your spare time. This could be a hobby, a personal project or just something you do to waste an hour while you're waiting for a friend.

Please list the software titles you enjoy spending your time with. I personally don't have many computer hobbies which is why I'm interested in yours!

Even tho I've been using photoshop for some time, I'm still learning new things from it. So I'm constantly playing around with it.

Lessee... building a multi-node render controller is what I should spend more time on. I just want to get MY notebook in so I can do that. Silly Intel not having Core 2 Duo's shipped yet. Games (FarCry, Civ4, C&C:Generals ZH, LBreakout2, LTris, Worms Armageddon), movies, music (foobar2k 4 lyfe!), etc. otherwise.
Also can't forget that I'm a Linux dork. I also play things like Neverputt/Neverball and Scorched3D (all also available for Windows) which are great, free OpenGL games.

I usually have open Firefox and iTunes open. Occasionally I'll run Photoshop CS2, and for games, CS:S or BattleFront 1 & 2.

    Mikeoo17:

Don't know about Finale or Ableton Live, but I think they're both multimedia authoring programs. gcc is the Gnu C Compiler, a programming tool. bash is a shell program, like the windows command window, but 100x more powerful. A multi-node render controller is just a program that will control other programs over a network to make 3D movies in parallel. Eclipse is a Java lanuage development program, that you can make programs based in Java in.

    monkeying around with Linux...
    playing Oblivion, FFXI
besides that, killing time on the internets w/Opera, chatting with a couple friends on gaim, and occasionally some IRC with sysreset (mIRC), though I don't really have any special attachment to that irc client.

Cheers mate ;) I should get together a list of all my commonly used Windows utilities and programs and such, things that I install on every computer I get when I get it. Some of them may be useless to other people, but I figure a lot of them would be interesting. I'll do that one of these days here.
